The Challenge

Principal was appointed to implement an integrated ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system and ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety management system for a leading fit-out construction company.

The company set an ambitious target of achieving ISO standards within six months. The purpose of implementing these particular management standards was, firstly, to allow the company to build an effective management system that supported the growth and risk profile of the company, and secondly, to help them gain a competitive advantage and increase market share in line with the overarching business strategy.

The Solution

From our initial engagement, we clarified to the leadership and management team what the ISO standards required and what could be achieved. After conducting a thorough gap analysis and business insights assessment, we developed a comprehensive project plan setting out clear time-bound deliverables and accountabilities.

In close collaboration with key managers and employees, we worked to overhaul several existing processes and implement several new ones. We further supported the company by conducting a series of internal audits, training workshops, and facilitated a management review to identify further areas of improvement.
